The career interests that I have been contemplating are the same as the career interests that match my assessment score. Such as, social work, Human resources, teaching and training, these are areas of interest for me, and I am going to explore my options within my organizations as well as externally. My “aha moment” and most surprising careers on my list was the Emergency Management Director because I have never thought about pursuing a career in this area. I do have experience in crisis management, de-escalation trainer and training, as well as deescalating customers in my current role as Store Manager. I spent 3 years in a store that was in an area where drug addiction, homelessness, untreated mental health, overdoses in our restrooms, and parole/probation searches on people who were in my café was an everyday occurrence. I feel confident in safely navigating myself, my team, and my customers through many unsafe situations and would consider a career in this field.
